CARINGI
Organic Igp Toscana Red

With a bright ruby color as soon as it is bottled and tending towards copper with age, it is a wine with a strong body and a persistent taste.
Slightly astringent due to the richness of the tannins, it tends to soften with the passage of time. Our red IGP is produced in small vineyards located around the hill of the town of Morrona, cultivated mainly with 70% Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Rossa and Ciliegiolo for the remaining 30%.

Most of the vines date back to a planting in 1975, combined with the production of the youngest vineyards planted in 2010 also respecting the tradition and originality of the product, they present native spoils of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino.

The harvest meets the right acidity for CARINGI IGP ROSSO in the first weeks of September in accordance with the different seasons, the alcoholic vinification is carried out by maceration of the skins without the aid of selected yeasts in steel vats, using exclusively the natural yeasts present in the grapes and therefore in the vineyard.

No filtration of any kind is carried out for our red wine but only clarification through natural decantation induced by the season and the influence of the moon. Finally, a short refinement in the bottle for around 6 months concludes the organic production process which follows every phase of production, from the planting of the vineyards and their maintenance, to the vinification and packaging, which take place with artisanal techniques that are still sustainable for our annual production. which is around 5000 bottles.

Caringi is a wine ready to be drunk one year after the harvest.
